Commonly prescribed Antibiotics do not help cure most adult coughs.

Researchers say they just conducted the largest study to show that antibiotics don't help treat lower-respiratory infections.

The findings suggest that the perceived waiting period for the antibiotics to "kick in", could equal the amount of time it takes for a virus to make its' pass.
