SALINAS, Calif. - A Salinas home is boarded up Monday evening, after an SUV drove into the house Monday afternoon, causing serious damage. It happened on Natividad Road near Lunsford Drive around 1:00 p.m.
The driver was in a black Ford Expedition, when he suffered a medical condition, causing him to loose control, according to officers. The SUV went all the way into the one-story home. Salinas Police said the homeowner left the house ten minutes before the accident happened, and no one else was injured.
The driver was taken to Natividad Medical Center to be evaluated for his medical condition.
PG&E was also on scene, restoring power after several live wires were knocked down during the crash.
