SALINAS, Calif.--Police report a man walked into the FoodsCo on the 1000 block of E. Alisal just after 6:30 Saturday night and walked up to a cashier helping a customer.
He reportedly indicated that he had a gun under his sweatshirt and told the cashier to open the register. The cashier complied and the suspect grabbed an unknown amount of cash.
He then ran through the parking lot and was seen getting into a dark colored pick up truck with a camper shell. The back window of the camper shell had a sticker on it, "Leer."
The suspect is described as a white male adult, in his 40's, wearing a black hoodie, black pants and black shoes.
