Police Make Arrest on King City Murder Suspect

KING CITY, Calif. -- Police have arrested 37-year old Ruben Chavez Leveaga, the suspect accused of murdering a man on Bassett Street almost two weeks ago.

The victim was killed on December 4th at his home on Bassett Street. The suspect was arrested Thursday night in Calexico, CA.

King City police have gone to extradite Laveaga from the Imperial County Jail in Calexico. They will bring him back to book him here.

Police in Calexico said they spotted Laveaga on a roof. When they identified who he was they realized he had a warrant out for his arrest.
