Posted: Updated:

NASA Television announced that they are providing a live video feed of the Geminid Meteor Shower.

Anyone can watch the event. NASA said the 2012 Germinid shower is expected to be at its peak tonight. Geminids are pieces of debris from the extinct comet 3200 Phaethon. The Geminids shower happens every year in mid-December.

The live feed will go on Thursday night into Friday morning from 11:00 p.m. 3:00 a.m. The video will be coming from an astronomy camera at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL.

Meteor experts will also be asking questions via web chat during the meteor shower. Social media sites are also using the hashtag #Geminid to stay connected.
