SANTA CRUZ, Calif. -- Police said a 23-year old woman was attacked and inappropriately touched while she was getting out of her car. They are still looking for the suspect.
Officers said a man came up behind her and hugged her while trying to put his hand down her skirt. It happened near Laurel and Mission Street Tuesday night just fore 11:00 p.m.
Police said the woman sprayed the man with pepper spray and ran off. Officers said the man was last seen running north on Laurel.
The woman did not have any injuries. Police are still looking for the suspect. He is described as a white male between 30 to 35 years old and is about 6 feet tall. Police said he was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a light blue beanie.
Police are investigating whether the suspect attacked women in other parts of Santa Cruz County. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 831-420-5820.
