GILROY, Calif.--Gilroy Police are reporting a stabbing that happened Thursday on the 100 block of Lewis Street.

Police say they received a call from St. Louise Regional Hospital at 2 in the afternoon, reporting that a 74 year old man was being treated there for stab wounds.

Investigators say they are looking for a white man in his 20s with blonde hair and dirty clothing.

Right now, they have no motive for the stabbing and are considering it a random act of violence.

The victim's injuries are not life-threatening.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact Gilroy Police Detective Michael Bolton at (408) 846-0350.
