SALINAS, Calif. -- The Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital Healthcare CEO search committee is re-opening its nationwide search for a permanent President and CEO.
In a statement the hospital released, the president of the SVMH Board of Directors explained why they are re-opening the search. "We've decided to re-open our search because the people who we thought were the best fit for our hospital and community had other opportunities before them," said Jim Gattis.
The search committee interviewed five candidates for the position and considered two of those for the position, but they got offers from other companies and are no longer available.
The CEO search committee is made up of three physicians and five board members who work with the recruitment firm Witt/Kieffer.
