WATSONVILLE - A Watsonsville couple says they were battered by a group of people while out walking Tuesday.
A Watsonville police officer was at the Watsonville Community Hospital on an unrelated investigation, when a couple came in. The male victim had been stabbed in the torso, and the female victim was beaten, with lacerations to her face and body.
The couple said they were walking in the area of Holm Road and Anna Strret, near Rolling Hills School, when they were approached by 5 suspects, who yelled gang slogans at them. When they tried to flee, the suspects attacked.
