Two Men Arrested After the Owner of the Stolen Car Saw Them Driving Around in it

SALINAS, Calif. -- The owner of a Honda Accord that was stolen earlier this week spotted his car being driven by the people who allegedly stole it.

Salinas Police say it happened in the area of Garner Avenue and North Sanborn Road. The owner of the Honda Accord first spotted the car on Williams road near Garner. He called police but lost sight of his car.

Police searched the area and found the stolen Honda at Garner and Sanborn. They said two people were sitting inside of it. Both men were taken into custody.

Salinas Police arrested the driver, Mario Calderon for possessing a stolen car and gang enhancements. The 17-year old passenger was released without any charges.

    SALINAS, Calif- Police are responding to a report of a stabbing that happened on East Alisal Friday afternoon. At this time police have E. Bernal at North Main closed off looking for a possible suspect.
    Police responded to a report of a stabbing that happened on East Alisal Friday afternoon. A witness who saw the stabbing tried to help the victim get to the hospital. He carried the suspect to the car and sped towards the hospital, said police.
