SALINAS, Calif. -- This weekend 26-year old Daniel Tapia won the California International Marathon. He finished the race in 2 hours 16 minutes and 29 seconds.
Tapia placed 1st out of 6,496 other runners. The race was 26.2 miles long and was held on Sunday in Sacramento.
It was the 30th anniversary for the California International Marathon.
Daniel Tapia was also the winner of the Salinas Valley Half Marathon held in Soledad earlier this year.
