Power Almost Completely Restored After Storm

Posted: Updated:

SANTA CRUZ & MONTEREY, Calif. -- So far 98% of power has been restored to people who were affected from the wind and rain storm.

PG&E says they worked through the night and are continuing to restore power to homes today. There are 270 homes in Santa Cruz and Monterey County that still need power as of noon on Monday.

Since the storm hit several power poles were knocked down from the high winds. Several accidents were also reported through the weekend because of storm conditions. PG&E is hoping to have power restored in all the homes by today.

Almost 750,000 people from the Central Coast and Bay Area were affected by outages.
