Road Closures in Santa Cruz County Early this Morning

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. - California Highway Patrol is reporting several roads closed in the Santa Cruz mountain area. According to CHP, PG & E is replacing poles in the area and have caused the roads to close. Several are expected to be closed until 7 this morning.

Empire Grade and Pine Flat Rd.

Ridge Rd. and Highway 236

Trout Gulch Rd. and Valencia School Rd.

California Highway Patrol have also requested the road warning signs to be turned on along Highway 17 this morning.

    SALINAS, Calif- Police are responding to a report of a stabbing that happened on East Alisal Friday afternoon. At this time police have E. Bernal at North Main closed off looking for a possible suspect.
    Police responded to a report of a stabbing that happened on East Alisal Friday afternoon. A witness who saw the stabbing tried to help the victim get to the hospital. He carried the suspect to the car and sped towards the hospital, said police.
