Aromas Woman Pleads Not Guilty To Making Terrorist Threats

Posted: Updated:

SALINAS, Calif. -- New information on the woman accused of barricading herself inside her Aromas home and prompting an 18-hour standoff.

The former Neighborhood Watch leader, Jacqueline Woodard, stood inside a Salinas courtroom, where she plead not guilty to making terrorist threats and assault with a deadly weapon.

She asked for a public defender.

The judge was skeptical since Woodard was able to post her high bail.

Against the lawyer's recommendation, Woodward chose not to waive her right to a speedy trial.

Her next court date will be on Dec. 11.
