WATSONVILLE, Calif. -- Santa Cruz Sheriff's Deputies say an elderly woman scared off three armed robbers all by herself.
It happened at her home on the 200 block of Calabasas Road Saturday afternoon. Deputies said the woman heard the doorbell ring and when she opened the door three men pushed through the door and yelled at the woman to get on the floor.
Deputies said the woman began to scream as loud as she could for as long as she could. The suspects became confused, looked at each other and ran away.
Nothing was taken from the home and the woman was not injured.
