Armed Robbery in Gilroy

GILROY, Calif.--Gilroy Police responded to a report of an armed robbery at JV Liquors  just after midnight Saturday morning.

Two suspects, one armed with a rifle or shotgun entered the store and demanded money from the cash register and cigarettes.  The clerk obeyed, but the suspects reportedly threatened to shoot the clerk and then punched him in the face before running out of the store.

They were last see getting into an older model, dark-colored 4-door vehicle.

The suspects are described as males.  One is between 5'10" to 6'2" and weighing between 190 and 210 pounds.  The other suspect is between 5'7' to 5'10" and weighing between 170 and 180 pounds.  They were both wearing hooded sweatshirts and jeans.
