Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Cheers Sandy Victims

Posted: Updated:

NEW YORK, New York - On October 29th, the East Coast was pummelled by Super Storm Sandy. Now, almost one month later, the victims are trying to get their lives back to normal.

One of the hardest hit states, New York, hosted it's annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade through the streets today. Millions of people turned out in the cold to "ooh" and "ahh" over the huge balloons, hear the singers, and see floats, bands, and clowns head by.

New Yorkers say the annual parade helps make Thanksgiving special, and their lives feel semi-normal again as they continue to recover from the storm.
