AUSTIN, Texas -- They say beauty is pain, but some women are going to extreme measures and doing a little nip and tuck off their toes. 

Usually, the only thing coming between a woman and a nice pair of shoes is money... but for some, it's a long or fat toe. 

That's why the toe-reduction surgery is apparently growing in popularity, but podiatrists warn if you do it, you may never get into fancy shoes again.  

The toe trimming surgery costs around $2,000 per toe or $10,000 per foot. To give you some perspective, Manolo Blahnik's run anywhere from $500 to $1,000.
