SALINAS, Calif. - Salinas police responded to a calll near the Soledad St. Police found two victims inside an RV that were approached by Vincente Vallente, a 43-year-old man. Police said Vallente told the two to get out of the vehicle and that he was the owner of the RV, which was not the case.
When police arrived on scene, Vallente got out of the RV and sat on the sidewalk while holding the knife. Police said he refused to drop the knife even while officers drew arms towards him.
Eventually, Vallente dropped the knife but refused to move away from the weapon. Police attempted to pull Vallente away and that is when he began to fight the officers.
Police were forced to tase Vallente to get him to comply with police. He was treated for minor injuries before before being transported to the county jail.
