SALINAS, Calif. - Around 1:00 AM Sunday morning, police were called to the 300 block of Andina Street in Salinas, in response to shots fired during a party.
The host, a 20-year-old, was celebrating a birthday, with around 70 people in attendance. A group of 4 or 5 uninvited guests tried to enter the home, but were denied, said police. One of the men from the uninvited group pulled out a gun and fired two shots into the ceiling.
The shooter, described as a Hispanic male in his early twenties, was wearing a hat, white shirt, and blue jeans. No one was injured at the party.
But, officers did discover that some of the attendees were underage, and consuming alcohol. The host was cited for hosting an underage party.
