Think you're alone in your mid-life crisis? Think again!
They may not want to buy a sports car, or move to a tropical location, but researchers have found that apes also experience a dip in happiness around the middle of their lives.
In humans, happiness spikes around age 20, then dips down around 45. It usually peaks again around age 70.
Researchers found that the happiness experienced by apes and orangutans mirrored the human U-shaped happiness scale.
