MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. -- One woman is dead after a pick-up went off the road in Carmel Valley.
CHP said it happened Saturday morning around 10:00 a.m. Officers say the driver, 34-year old Kristophor Timmons of Carmel Valley was driving drunk and couldn't make a turn in the road causing the Ford F-250 Pick-up to go into the ravine. When CHP got on scene they said the pick-up was upside down. The 37-year old female passenger was already dead when they got there.
Timmons was taken to Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital for major injuries. Officers said both the driver and female passenger were not wearing seatbelts.
After Kristophor Timmons was released from the hospital he was arrested for DUI and manslaughter. The identity of the victim has not been released yet because her family has not yet been notified of the accident.
CHP is still investigating the accident.
