14-Year-Old Boy Targeted in Salinas Gang Shooting

SALINAS, Calif. - Salinas Police are investigating a shooting on Orchard Avenue, involving a juvenile male with a gunshot wound.

Officers tell Central Coast News the 14-year-old boy was outside a residence on Orchard Ave., when a dark vehicle, possibly a Honda, drove by and fired at him.

That bullet went through the boy's hand.

The vehicle was last seen fleeing the scene in a southbound direction. This incident is considered gang-related and there is no further suspect information at this time.
