SALINAS, Calif - It was a busy night for Police, as they investigated two shootings on the streets of Salinas.
Just after 9:00 p.m., Salinas Police got a call to the 800 block of Garden Way, for a victim of a shooting. Officers say a 66-year-old man had been out looking for his dog when he was shot.
The victim told officers he was approached by four Hispanic males in a black Honda. One of the suspects got out of the car and said something to the victim in English. Police said that the victim only spoke Spanish so he did not know what they suspect was saying to him. That is when the suspect shot the 66-year-old man in the shoulder, said police.
The victim's injuries do not appear to be life-threatening, but he was flown to a Bay Area trauma center for treatment.
Police say they are still investigating a motive for this crime and have not ruled out robbery.
