Army Suicides This Year Surpass 2011 Numbers

WASHINGTON, D.C. - According to the Army, the number of possible suicides is on the rise, already surpassing last year's totals. 

In October, there were 20 possible suicides. That's already 5 more than in September, and passes the totals for last year. 

The Army and Pentagon are trying to determine suicide triggers, and are doing what they can to curb the growing problem. For example, the Army implemented a "stand down", where soldiers take a break from their regular duties to discuss suicide prevention.
