NEW ORLEANS, Louis. - BP announced today that they will be paying $4.5 billion in a settlement with the United States government, after the 2010 oil spill.
Two men who worked for BP have been charged with manslaughter, and one with lying to federal investigators.
The explosion at the Deepwater Horizon oil rig in 2010 killed 11 people. The money BP will pay includes a $1.3 billion fine, the largest criminal fine in US history.
