    PRUNEDALE, Calif- The Monterey County Sheriff's Deputy shot at in the Prunedale area Wednesday evening, is okay.  But she believes, she was the intended target.
    PRUNEDALE, Calif. - The Monterey County Sheriff's Deputy shot at in the Prunedale area Wednesday evening, is okay.  But she believes, she was the intended target.

PRUNDEDALE, Calif. -- Investigators are processing the patrol car for evidence. The deputy who was shot at is okay.

The Monterey County Sheriff's Office said they believe a shot was fired at the patrol car yesterday. It happened along Meridian Road and Castroville Boulevard. A perimeter was set up in the area but no suspects were found.

The female deputy in the car had minor injuries from glass flying inside the car. She was treated at the scene for a cut on her neck then let go.

The investigation is still on-going. Anyone with information is asked to call 831-755-3805.
