SALINAS, Calif. -- A woman who was part of the picket line at Nob Hill was injured by a car that was driving by, said witnesses.
Police say the driver claims the woman purposely stuck her hand out and that's how she was hit. The driver also told police a line of strikers were lined up in front of her car, she honked to get them to move then they slowly started to get out of the way.
Workers have been striking at Nob Hill on South Main Street and other Nob Hill locations.
Officers say there have been several other reports to police about strikers getting rowdy near protest areas. Police are still investigating the accident.
