AROMAS, Calif. - California Highway Patrol responded to a traffic accident at Salinas Road and San Juan Road in the community of Aromas Wednesday morning.
The accident happened around 8:30 a.m. Aromas Tri County FPD/CAL FIRE responded with assistance from North County Fire. Upon arrival, firefighters reported a four vehicle traffic collision involving a semi-truck and trailer all with major damage.
Firefighters had four patients that needed transport; two with major injuries, one with moderate injuries and one minor injury. The request was made for two additional ground ambulances and two air ambulances. The air ambulances had to abort the mission due to the weather and all patients were transported by ground ambulance to local area hospitals.
Still no word Wednesday night as to what caused the accident.
