Man Robbed After Leaving O'Reilly Auto Parts With Deposit Money

SALINAS, Calif. -- Police Responded to an armed robbery outside O'Reillys Auto Parts. A store employee was held at gunpoint when while he was on his way to make a deposit for the store.

Police said it happened at 610 Williams Road in Salinas just before 5:00 p.m. As the employee got into the car a gray Jeep Cherokee pulled in front of him and blocked his car. The passenger of the suspect car got out and demanded money from the employee. The suspect held the victim at gunpoint then quickly grabbed the cash.

The suspect got back into the car and with the suspect driver and headed towards Bardin Road.

The passenger suspect is described as a man, whose race is unknown. He was about 6ft tall with a medium build wearing a black ski mask with the holes cut out, a black long sleeve sweatshirt and blue jeans. The passenger suspect was carrying a semi-automatic handgun.

The second suspect, the driver is described as a clean shaven Hispanic male that's about 30 years old. The suspect car was a gray Jeep Cherokee. The suspects were last seen driving eastbound on Bardin Road.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 758-7321 or 775-4222 to remain anonymously.

The Robbery is still under investigation.
