ELK GROVE, Calif. -- There was a deadly accident on Sunday afternoon on Interstate 5 in Elk Grove.

Emergency officials said four people were killed and seven others were injured.

Initial reports show an SUV was traveling southbound and somehow crossed over the center divide.

It collided head-on with another car, causing both to roll over and ejecting the passengers.

Investigators are still trying to determine the sequence of events.
