San Ardo Home Goes Up in Flames, Ruled Complete Loss - Central Coast News KION/KCBA

SAN ARDO, Calif. - Cal Fire Crews responded to a house fire on the 62000 block of Center Street in San Ardo at 2 this afternoon.

Fire crews arrived to the house completely engulfed in flames, but say luckily, the house was empty.

Crews say the fire started in a detached garage, but had reached the attic of the adjacent house by the time they got there.

Officials believe there was combustable material near a water heater, which sparked the blaze.

The house has been deemed a complete loss, with damage estimated at $80,000.
