Body Found; Believed to be Missing Aptos man

APTOS, Calif.-  Santa Cruz Sheriff's Office just told Central Coast News that a body has been found in a ravine in Aptos.  The body was located at about 10 Tuesday morning and they believe it may be the body of a missing man.

Search and Rescue crews have been searching for George Sliter in Aptos. He has been missing since Sunday.  Sliter was considered "at-risk.

The search and rescue started Sunday morning when Sliter didn't arrive at a church service at a retreat center he was staying.

The man is 74-years-old from Redwood City.   Sheriff's deputies said they were told the man practices yoga and might have gone out to the woods to meditate and became disoriented.

An autopsy will be done to determine identity and cause of death.
