MARINA, Calif. -- A plastic shed went up in flames Wednesday night in Marina, threatening a nearby family residence, according to Marina Fire department.
It happened on Crescent Avenue just before 9pm. Fire crews say when they arrived on scene, the shed was fully engulfed, but firefighters were able to knock down the flames quickly.
According to investigators, the shed and the contents inside were a total loss, and a nearby home had minor damage to some plastic rain gutters and blistered paint.
One female adult was evaluated for possible smoke inhalation at the scene by American medical Response. She did not require transport.
Marina fire was assisted by the Presidio of Monterey Fire Department and the Seaside Fire Department due to multiple medical calls being dispatched within minutes of each other, but the Marina Fire unit was committed to the blaze on Crescent Avenue.
