UPDATE: Millions Affected by Super Storm Sandy

NEW YORK, New York -- The National Hurricane Center is officially referring to Sandy as a Post Tropical Cyclone, since it no longer has tropical characteristics. However, the storm that was Hurricane Sandy crashed ashore in New Jersey and is still causing widespread damage for from Massachusetts to Virginia and beyond.

New York City is experiencing historic flooding and at least five deaths have been blamed on the storm.

In New Jersey, winds of 80 miles an hour with gusts over 100 tore up Atlanic City's famous boardwalk.

The storm cut electricity to more than two million homes and businesses.
