SANTA CRUZ, Calif. -- It could be a record breaking year for the Santa Cruz Police Department.
The department is on pace to set a record for the most calls-for service in the agency's history.
So far this year, they've received 85,144 calls. For the entire year of 2011, the department received 81,496. calls. The department thinks it could break 100,000 calls this year.
