SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - Santa Cruz Fire rescued a person from a vehicle that had driven off Upper Park Road into a ravine near the Delaveaga Golf course Friday afternooon.
Upon arrival, crews found a full-sized pick up truck approximately 30 feet down from the roadway, with moderate damage. A single subject was in the vehicle with minor injuries. The person was unable to walk back to the road due to pre-existing injuries and the terrain. A rope system was used to retrieve the victim.
The patient was transported by AMR to Dominican Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
