Hearing Delayed for Man Accused of Murdering His Mother

SALINAS, Calif. -- We have new information about the preliminary hearing for Christopher Sorenson. It could be delayed well into next year, thanks to returned evaluations regarding Sorenson's sanity.

Sorenson is the Salinas man accused of murdering his mother nearly a year ago. Doctors are re-evaluating Sorenson's competency after close evaluation of him over the last few months at Atascadero State Hospital.

Doctors are expected to return to court with their findings sometime in December.
