GILROY, Calif. -- Officers said the armed robbery happened around 10:30 a.m. at the Golden One Credit Union at the 8000 block of Church Street.
Gilroy police say two men wearing masks entered the bank and demanded money. The clerk gave the suspects an undisclosed amount of cash. Police said the two men fled in a gold sedan.
Witnesses called in reporting a gold sedan driving rapidly in the area of Hanna and Arnold, right now the street from the credit union. Police say the two men got out of the car, and got into a different car. They drove off in an older white foreign vehicle. They were last seen traveling westbound on Arnold.
Police say the gold sedan had been stolen out of Salinas earlier in the day.
Both suspects were described as men. One was about 5ft 10in wearing a black hoodie and jeans. Police say the second suspect was about 6ft wearing a light colored sweatshirt and jeans.
