MONTEREY, Calif.- The Monterey Bay Blues Festival is in need of some green, meaning cash.
The musical festival filed for bankruptcy this month after 27 years on the Central Coast.
The festival's president said they're almost $300,000 in debt, but no one is to blame except the struggling economy.
The Monterey Bay Blues Festival website doesn't mention the money problems, but in bold capital letters on the side of the homepage asks people to "Keep the blues alive by joining the 'Friends of the Blues.'" It also asks people to make tax deductible contributions.
