HEIDELBERG, Germany - Some Advanced cancer patients are overly-optimistic about their chance of long term survival.
A new study in the New England Journal of Medicine found that 69% of patients with advanced lung cancer and 81% of those with advanced colon cancer didn't understand that Chemotherapy was unlikely to cure their disease.
Researchers say the misunderstanding can pose obstacles to end of life planning.
