7-11 Robbed, Then Suspect Grabs More Cash

SALINAS, Calif. - The 7/11 store on the 300-block of Abbott Street was robbed shortly after 7:30 Wednesday evening.

According to police, the suspect, a male adult dressed in a black hoodie with the hood up and blue jeans, came up to the counter. He simulated a weapon in his front hoodie pocket, and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk complied and handed over an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect demanded more, and then went around the counter and grabbed the till out of the register.  The till contained had only a small amount of additional cash.  

The robbery was captured on video and it appears the suspect arrived in a silver newer model Honda Civic. He got back into the front passenger seat and the vehicle sped away westbound on Maple.

The robber was about 5'8" with a medium build. He had a medium complexion and appeared to be in his 20's.
