Posted: Updated:

SALINAS, Calif. -- Several gunshots were fired at a home early this morning near Natividad Creek Park in Salinas.

Police say the shooting happened at 12:30 Wednesday morning. When officers arrived they found nothing. It wasn't until a few hours later, they got a call from a victim who lived on the 1000 block of Ranchero Drive.

Police say four bullet casings were found in her front yard. Officers say several gunshots hit the home and one round hit one of the cars parked in the driveway. Some bullets even went through several walls and doors into people's bedrooms as they slept.

No one inside the home was hurt. The victim did not have any information on who the suspect could be, or why the home was a target.

Police are still investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call investigators at 1-800-782-7463.
