Double Shooting in Soledad Neighborhood

SOLEDAD, Calif. - A double shooting in Soledad tonight has police looking for suspects.

Just after 7 tonight, officers were called to reports of a person shot on the 1500 block of Palm Avenue.  Citizens pointed officers to the apartment complex where it happened.

There, police foundtwo people with gunshot wounds to their upper bodies.

A 22-year-old Hispanic man was taken to Vosti Park, where he was airlifted to a Bay Area trauma center.

The other victim, a 25-year-old Hispanic male, was taken to a local hospital by ambulance for his injuries.

Early indications show that two suspects approached the victims while they stood in the doorway to the apartment, then opened fire on them.

They were last seen fleeing on foot southbound on Palm Ave.

Police don't have a motive, though both victims are known as active gang members.
