Man Arrested in Stolen Car with Ammunition

SALINAS, Calif. -- Salinas police arrested a wanted felon who was found driving a stolen car. Officer also also found ammunition inside vehicle.

Police say it happened Monday around 4:00 near the 100 block of Chestnut Street. The man driving the 1994 Toyota Camry was 39-year old Joseph Avila.

Avila has two outstanding warrants and is on parole. He violated the terms of his parole by possessing ammunition. He was booked into the Monterey County Jail on multiple charges.
