SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The San Francisco Giants beat the St. Louis Cardinals Monday night 9-0 at AT&T Park to head back to the World Series for the second time in 3 years.
The Giants scored 5 runs in the bottom of the third inning against Cardinals pitcher, Kyle Lohse. Hunter Pence started the inning with a double that knocked in three runs, clearing the bases.
The Giants forced a Game 7 in the NLCS against the defending World Series champion, Cardinals, after falling to a 3-1 deficit in the series.
The World Series will begin on Wednesday in San Francisco against the Detroit Tigers.
