MARINA, Calif. -- Marina police are investigating two sexual assault cases, they say both crimes are not connected. Police say the women were raped in both cases.
The first incident happened around 6:30 p.m. at the 3000 block of Lake Drive, the other was at 8:45 p.m. near the 300 block of Carmel Avenue. Officers were investigating a forcible rape they say happened on the 3000 block of Lake Drive. Police found out the suspect was in Salinas. Salinas Police arrested 19 year old Bryan Milanes of Marina who was booked into the Monterey County Jail for charges of forcible rape, false imprisonment and a probation violation.
Police investigation a second forcible rape incident that happened on Carmel Avenue a week earlier. Police say the 13 year old female was raped by a 13 year old man she knew. Police arrested the suspect and booked him into the Monterey County Juvenile Hall on forcible rape charges.
