MONTEREY, Calif.- You'll see lots of pink ribbons, hair spray and women at Oya Salon for its 6th annual Eve of Hope and Day of Healing for breast cancer awareness.
It's a fundraising series beginning October 21 and culminating October 24 at the Eve of Hope gala. Oya Salon and salon owners Brian & Angolee Bode present a week of events to benefit the Breast Cancer Assistance Group of Monterey County.
The week kicks off on Sunday, October 21st with the Day of Healing held at Oya Salon. Cancer patients within five years of diagnosis are invited to indulge in a variety of complimentary styling and therapeutic treatments by Oya Salon staff and community volunteers.
The week concludes with The Eve of Hope gala event on October 24th at the Sunset Center. The romantic South American themed event offers fashion, fellowship, food and fun and will feature models who are local breast cancer survivors showcasing a range of fashions from Elan at the Lodge in Pebble Beach and Lori & Lisa Designs. The evening will also offer an incredible silent auction and food provided by Mundaka, Carmel Belle, Lokal, Parker-Lusseau and Pastries & Petals.
All proceeds will benefit the Breast Cancer Assistance Group of Monterey County, a local 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer organization run by breast cancer survivors that provides much-needed special assistance grants to help improve the lives of local breast cancer survivors and their families.
