Deputies Are Looking for a Person Who Vandalized Campaign Signs in Santa Cruz

SAN LORENZO VALLEY, Calif.-- Several campaign signs were damaged on Monday in the 5th District area of Santa Cruz County. Santa Cruz County Sheriff's deputies say it's illegal to deface property that belongs to someone.

Through the sheriff's department's investigation they were able to identify a suspect. Officers made several attempts to contact the person but were unsuccessful.

Investigators assigned to the case completed a report and forwarded the information to the Santa Cruz District Attorney's Office with the recommendation for prosecution.
