SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The California Highway Patrol officer's headstone, which was stolen right out of the ground last week in Santa Cruz, will be replaced - at no cost to the family.
The family who owns the funeral home where Officer John Pedro was laid to rest, says they'll pick up the bill, meaning that family can stop raising money.
Officer Pedro was killed 10 years ago in a car accident.
There are still no leads on who took the headstone, or why.
